Daniel Baier signs Augsburg extension

Augsburg midfielder Daniel Baier has signed a two-year contract extension with the Bundesliga side.

The new terms have seen the 28-year-old German commit himself to the club until summer 2016.

"Daniel Baier is a key player of our team, both as a person and as a player," general manager Stefan Reuter told the Augsburg's official website. "We are happy to have agreed a new deal with him."

Baier joined Augsburg from Wolfsburg in January 2010.
