Stefan Savic close to Atletico Madrid move?

Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic is reportedly on the verge of joining Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.

The 24-year-old joined the Italian club three years ago from Manchester City and established himself as a regular under previous manager Vincenzo Montella.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Atletico have almost completed a deal for Savic, who has been left out of Fiorentina's pre-season tour.

It is believed that midfielder Mario Suarez will be sent on loan to the Serie A club as part of the transfer.

Savic has made 32 appearances for the Montenegro national side.
