Stefan Savic confirms Atletico Madrid move

Stefan Savic has revealed that he is close to joining Atletico Madrid in a deal that will see Mario Suarez make the move to Fiorentina.

Savic has been strongly linked with a move to the Vicente Calderon over the last week, and the Montenegro international touched down in Madrid to complete his transfer on Monday morning.

"[Diego] Simeone is the best coach in world football. I hope to speak with him soon and discover what is expected of me," Savic told reporters after landing in the Spanish capital.

"I'm very happy to be joining a big club. Mario Suarez is also a very good player and will surely help Fiorentina to achieve great success."

Atletico have reportedly parted with £8m and Spanish international Suarez for the 24-year-old defender.
