Cristian Ansaldi reveals delight at Atletico Madrid move

Cristian Ansaldi has branded La Liga 'the best league in the world' after being officially presented as an Atletico Madrid player earlier this afternoon.

The 27-year-old has moved to Atletico on loan from Zenit St Petersburg and could make his official debut in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

"I've been in Russia, I've matured and I have more experience, but I needed new challenges. I've come to the best league and I believe I can do well here," he told reporters.

Ansaldi started his professional career with Newell's Old Boys before moving on to Rubin Kazan and later Zenit in 2013.
