Simeone's side, who secured automatic Champions League qualification with a 0-0 final-day draw with Granada this evening, and the Argentine refused to be downbeat over the campaign.
"For me it's a nine [out of 10]," he told AS. "After we were champions and runners-up in the Champions League this year we won the Super Cup and reached third.
"We competed with Real Madrid and Barcelona. The players and the club did great work. Now we work and focus.
"For the third consecutive year the club is in the Champions League and the fans are happy with their team."
Atletico, who reached the final of the Champions League last term, were eliminated by Real at the quarter-final stage this season.
