Diego Simeone expecting Malaga test

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone warns his side of the dangers facing them this weekend in the shape of Malaga.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone believes that Malaga will be a dangerous opponent at the weekend due to their lack of pressure in La Liga.

Atletico need the three points to consolidate first position in the table, but Malaga have little to play for with their safety in the division already secured.

Simeone, however, has claimed that situation could work in favour of their opponents on Sunday.

"I genuinely believe that when you reach the end of the season and you don't have anything to play for you have less responsibility and you're freer," he told El Larguero.

"A team with less responsibility is no doubt going to play better, that's why we have to take the game to those places where we want it to be. I expect it to be like Valenia, Granada, Elche... they are teams who fight and long may it be that way."

Atletico are currently three points clear of second-placed Barcelona in La Liga.
