Mario Suarez "very happy" to return

Mario Suarez has revealed that he is "very happy" after returning to the Atletico Madrid squad this week.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since damaging his knee at the beginning of November, with the Spanish midfielder missing 18 matches for his club.

However, Suarez has been selected in the Atletico squad for the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final with Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday evening.

"I'm very happy to be called back up to the squad. I've missed this," he tweeted.

Atletico lead 1-0 from the first leg against Bilbao last week.
