Enrique Cerezo: 'Radamel Falcao is best in the world'

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that Radamel Falcao is the best forward in world football.

The Colombian striker has been a consistent goalscorer since moving to Europe with Porto in 2009 and has made a seamless transition to La Liga with Atletico.

Cerezo told AS: "I certify that Falcao is the best in the world, I say it by referring to evidence.

"I would not swap him for Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Many would be keen to take his services, but he plays for Atletico, something we're delighted with."

Falcao has seven goals in five league games so far this season plus a memorable hat-trick in the UEFA Super Cup win over Chelsea.
