Atalanta 1-0 Palermo

Palermo are still searching for their first win in Serie A this season after losing 1-0 to Atalanta in Bergamo on Sunday.

Chances were few and far between with both teams packing the midfield.

The first fell to German Denis but the Atalanta forward's volley was off target, and then Andrea Consigli was forced into a save from Palermo midfielder Edgar Barreto.

Luca Cigarini then set up Cristian Raimondi, but the latter failed to grab his opportunity.

Ezequiel Munoz headed home a free kick for Palermo in the 38th minute, but it was correctly ruled out for an offside offence.

Denis got another chance to break the deadlock at the start of the second half, but failed in his attempt to keep his final shot on target.

Atalanta eventually wrapped up the points at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia in the 88th minute when Raimondi headed home Cigarini's corner.
