Report: Aston Villa yet to receive Christian Benteke bid

Aston Villa have still yet to receive any offers for star striker Christian Benteke, according to a report.

The Belgian striker has been linked with a number of clubs on the back of his impressive end to the 2014-15 season, in which he scored 13 goals in the same number of outings.

However, Sky Sports News claims that no approach has been made for the 24-year-old, with the Villans hopeful that he will sign a new contract at the club in the coming weeks.

Villa chief executive Tom Fox revealed earlier this month that he was confident Benteke would remain in place at Villa Park beyond the end of the transfer window.
