Aston Villa youngster Andreas Weimann has admitted that he is hoping for more first-team chances following his winner in Saturday's 1-0 victory against Fulham.
The 20-year-old substitute pounced in the 90th minute to give Villa their first home win in seven matches.
"It's brilliant for myself but I think for the team it's unbelievable because we have not won for a long time at home at Villa Park," he told Sky Sports News. "You can see the fans' reaction too when I scored so I'm a happy man at present.
"I have been waiting for a long time but now I've got my chance, I've scored my goal and hopefully I will get more chances between now and the end of the season.
"I think it's good for the youth team because there are so many players from the youth squad coming up and this is encouragement that they can get there."
The win has moved the Midlands club up to 14th in the Premier League table.
