Aston Villa and Emile Heskey are reportedly ready to part company this summer.
The former England striker was brought in by Martin O'Neill from Wigan Athletic for £3.5m three years ago.
Heskey's contract is up in July and Villa are content to let the 34-year-old leave for free.
He was ruled out of action earlier this month with an Achilles injury.
