Tim Sherwood giving Adama Traore one-on-one DVD work to help him improve

Tim Sherwood is giving Adama Traore one-on-one video sessions to help him improve in the Premier League.

Tim Sherwood has revealed that he is sitting down with Adama Traore and watching game footage with the youngster to help him improve.

The 19-year-old winger joined Aston Villa for a reported fee of £7m and has immediately settled in in Birmingham, impressing in a cameo against Crystal Palace and scoring in his first start against Notts County.

"I know Adama more than anyone. That's why he's at the football club," Sherwood told Aston Villa's official website. "I know his strengths and I know his weaknesses. We're just trying to iron out the weaknesses.

"I talk to him daily. I showed him the video of his cameo on Saturday - and I will show him footage from the win over Notts County too. He needs to mix his game up because it doesn't give people the opportunity to kick him.

"He's going to find himself a very marked man out there because the only way they're going to stop him is bringing him down. He's going to need to be protected. But he's strong, robust and has a big heart.

"He's going to be an excellent signing for this football club. It's up to me to nurture him and bed him in."

Aston Villa have won just one game this season and their next match is at home to Sunderland tomorrow.
