Shay Given hails Robbie Keane's move to Villa

Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has claimed that Robbie Keane's loan move is a "great boost" for the club.

Keane is set to complete a two-month loan move to Villa Park from LA Galaxy on Wednesday and Given believes that his international teammate will be a great asset to the Midlands outfit.

Given said: "It's great for Villa to secure a player of Robbie's calibre, even in the short-term.

"I think even in training the lads have been very impressed with what they've seen. I think it's a great boost to have him on board."

Given is expected to return to action soon after an absence due to a hamstring injury.
