Ciaran Clark: 'Aston Villa have learned lessons'

Ciaran Clark believes that his Aston Villa teammates have learned their lessons from last season.

Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark has insisted that his side are constantly improving this season.

The Villans narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League during the last campaign thanks to a strong finish.

However, Clark believes that the players at Villa Park have learned from their struggles last time out.

"We are a year older and hopefully we are still improving," he told the Express & Star.

"We are learning from some of the mistakes last season. We are a young side and we've had a tough start this season but I think we are progressing and moving forward."

Clark is currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Kazakhstan.
