Ryan Bertrand eyes top-10 finish for Aston Villa

On-loan full-back Ryan Bertrand believes that Aston Villa can finish the Premier League season in the top half of the table.

On-loan Aston Villa full-back Ryan Bertrand believes that the club can finish in the top 10 of the Premier League by the end of the season.

The Midlands outfit are currently 11th in the table level on points with 10th-placed West Ham United.

After beating Norwich City 4-1 in their last league fixture, Bertrand is confident that Villa can secure a place in the top half of the standings.

"There's a buzz about the place at the moment," Bertrand told AVTV. "The win over Norwich does wonders for us. We just need to keep focused now.

"We have had a mixed bag of results but we had a good win the other weekend and we want to take that into the next game.

"We're looking at as high as ninth in the Premier League, but we can definitely push for the 10th spot and that, in my opinion, would be a really good finish."

Villa will face Bertrand's parent club Chelsea on home turf this Saturday.
