Stoke's Imbula agrees Monaco terms?

Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula has reportedly agreed terms with AS Monaco ahead of a potential move to the Ligue 1 champions.

Imbula became the Potters' record signing during the January 2016 transfer window when Mark Hughes landed the Belgian-born dynamo for £18.3m from Porto.

Since then, however, the 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular spot under Hughes, having made just 23 Premier League starts since joining last year.

According to L'Equipe, Imbula could soon make a move to Monaco as the midfielder is said to have already agreed personal terms.

It has been suggested that a loan move Imbula was originally turned down by Stoke, but that the club are now negotiating over a potential permanent deal.

Stoke start their new Premier League campaign this weekend when they face Everton at Goodison Park.
