Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: 'No bid made for Sami Khedira'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club has not tabled a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

The Frenchman said that the club has not made a formal approach for the Germany international, but would be open to doing business should the player become available.

"No. No [offer has been made]. I don't know [if he is available]. If I read the newspapers he's available," he told reporters.

Chelsea have also been linked with Khedira, and are said to be the frontrunners for his signature.
