Report: Newcastle United want £12m for Mathieu Debuchy

Newcastle United will reportedly demand £12m for rumoured Arsenal target Mathieu Debuchy.

Newcastle United have reportedly placed a £12m price tag on defender Mathieu Debuchy, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners are in the market for a new right-back following Bacary Sagna's move to Manchester City, and Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on bringing the France international to the Emirates.

However, The Express reports that Arsenal are prepared to bid £9m for the 28-year-old, while Magpies manager Alan Pardew has urged chairman Mike Ashley not to sell him for less than £12m.

Debuchy joined Newcastle from Lille for a fee in the region of £5.5m in January 2013.
