Arsenal have joined Liverpool in the race to sign RB Leipzig's highly-rated striker Timo Werner, according to a report.
The 22-year-old has bagged 24 goals in the German top flight since the start of last season to grow a reputation of being one of the most prolific forwards on the continent.
Bayern Munich are also known to hold an interest in the Germany international, who recently hinted that he would be keen on joining the Bundesliga champions should he be sold at the end of the season.
According to The Mirror, however, Arsenal could usurp both sides by stepping forward with an offer of their own, despite already having Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in their ranks.
Leipzig are rumoured to have informed Werner that he must sign a new deal at the Red Bull Arena or he will be sold in the summer.
