Report: Arsenal eye Casillas swoop

Arsenal have jumped to the front of the queue for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, according to a report.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been searching for a new stopper all summer, with the likes of Julio Cesar, Pepe Reina and Vicente Guaita being linked with moves to North London.

However, Marca report that the 32-year-old's uncertain future at the Bernabeu has prompted the Premier League side to make him aware of their interest.

The Spanish number one was reportedly furious after being left on the bench for last week's 2-1 win over Real Betis.

He had hoped that a return to the first team was inevitable under Carlo Ancelotti following last season's strife with Jose Mourinho.
