Lukas Podolski targets trophies

German international Lukas Podolski has insisted that he wants to win trophies with Arsenal.

The 26-year-old will join the Premier League outfit from Koln at the end of the season, and he has praised his new club ahead of the move.

"Arsenal are a huge football club and the objective must be to win titles in the coming years," Podolski told reporters.

"I could have either continued at Koln or gone back to a top club. I had other offers but for me it was clear that I'd go to Arsenal. They have a great coach, a great stadium and great fans."

Podolski has scored 18 goals in 30 games for Koln this season.
