Crystal Palace have reportedly laughed off Arsenal's opening £40m bid for Wilfried Zaha.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international over the last week.
Despite Palace valuing Zaha in the region of £100m, it has been reported that Unai Emery's side launched a £40m offer for the 26-year-old in the hope of completing a deal.
However, according to The Sun, Palace laughed off the offer and branded it 'embarrassing', leaving the capital outfit with much to ponder as they consider returning with a fresh bid.
Arsenal's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League has reportedly left Emery with just £45m - without sales - to spend on new players in this summer's transfer window.
Zaha, who scored 10 times and registered 10 assists in 34 Premier League appearances last season, admitted earlier this year that he wanted to leave Selhurst Park ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
