Oguzhan Ozyakup plays down Arsenal return

Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup plays down suggestions that he could return to former club Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup has played down reports that he could return to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old represented Arsenal between 2008 and 2012, but only made two first-team appearances during his time with the Premier League club.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for their former midfielder since the start of the season, but the Turkish international has insisted that he is only focused on matters with his current club.

"There are a lot of rumours but I am not interested. My only goal is to win the league with Besiktas this season," Ozyakup told reporters.

Ozyakup has scored three times and registered five assists in 10 league appearances for Besiktas this season.
