A report claims that whoever succeeds Arsene Wenger as Arsenal head coach will have to work with a restricted budget of £50m during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal chiefs will reportedly restrict Arsene Wenger's managerial successor to a £50m budget in this summer's transfer window.

The Gunners hope to bring in a new head coach soon after long-serving boss Wenger departs the Emirates Stadium in less than a month's time.

According to The Telegraph, however, whoever takes over will have to work with a restricted allowance following two club-record transfers and three new major contracts in the past 12 months.

Arsenal's hierarchy feel that the squad does not need major transforming, meaning only a couple of additions are likely ahead of 2018-19.

Luis Enrique, Massimiliano Allegri, Mikel Arteta, Leonardo Jardim, Carlo Ancelotti, Patrick Vieira, Julian Nagelsmann, Joachim Low and Brendan Rodgers have all been linked with the job.
