Arsenal's Miquel looks at loan option

Arsenal's young defender Ignasi Miquel has admitted that he is considering moving on loan to a Championship team.

Miquel has been brought into the first team squad by Arsene Wenger following a number of injuries but he admits that a loan deal could be an option for him.

The Spaniard confirmed to The Sun: "Before these injuries I was thinking of the Championship."

The 19-year-old is currently providing cover due to injuries suffered by Andre Santos, Thomas Vermaelen and Kieran Gibbs.

Wenger's side, who are currently fifth in the Premier League, face Swansea City on Sunday.
