Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on South African defender Bradley Cross.

Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly among the sides keeping tabs on South African defender Bradley Cross.

The 19-year-old has spent this season on loan at German side Schalke 04 from Bidvest Wits, where he has made 18 appearances in the Under-19 Bundesliga West this season.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Arsenal are looking to bolster their defensive options, and will send scouts to watch the defender when football returns.

The report also claims that Cross has benefited from playing alongside highly-rated defender Malick Thiaw, who is another youngster linked with a move to the Premier League.

Cross is eligible to represent both South Africa and England.
