Lazio in talks with Arsenal over Lucas Torreira?

Lazio have reportedly identified Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira as a potential summer transfer target.

The 25-year-old has failed to settle to life in North London, a scenario which led to a loan switch to Atletico Madrid for the duration of last season.

Having made just five starts for the Spanish giants and remaining out of favour at Arsenal, Torreira requires a new club for the 2021-22 campaign.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio have held positive discussions regarding a loan deal for the Uruguay international.

The report suggests that the Serie A side are close to finalising an agreement which includes the option of a permanent switch in 2022.

Torreira has previously starred for Sampdoria in Italy's top flight.
