Carlo Cudicini urges Arsenal to sign Chelsea's Petr Cech

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini believes that Arsenal should be looking to sign Blues stopper Petr Cech in the summer.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has said that Blues stopper Petr Cech would be a great signing for Arsenal.

The 32-year-old has lost his position as first-choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge this season following the emergence of Thibaut Courtois, and it has been reported that the West Londoners are willing to sell the Czech Republic international this summer.

Cudicini believes that his former teammate would be an ideal capture for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is said to be looking for a replacement for Wojciech Szczesny.

When asked if he felt that Arsenal have to sign Cech, Cudicini told talkSPORT: "I agree. Arsenal have had a few problems with goalkeepers after [David] Seaman and [Jens] Lehmann.

"Szczesny is still struggling to impose himself as number one, so if a goalkeeper like Petr Cech is available in the summer, obviously he should be a big target for Arsenal."

Cech joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004.
