Arsenal's Santi Cazorla: 'I rejected Atletico Madrid move'

Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla has revealed that he was offered a move to Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window.

The Spain international was targeted by Atletico following the sale of Radamel Falcao to Monaco, but Cazorla has stated that he rejected the switch in favour of staying at the Emirates.

"No, because there wasn't any of that," Cazorla told Marca. "As [Enrique] Cerezo (president of Atletico) said, there was an offer and I was very calm."

Cazorla joined Arsenal last summer from Malaga.
