Pedro Botelho leaves Arsenal without one game under his belt

Botelho relieved at Arsenal exit

Arsenal defender Pedro Botelho has completed a transfer to Atletico Paranaense following an unsuccessful five-year stint with the North London club.

The Brazilian, who failed to record one senior game for the Gunners during his time with the Premier League outfit, was immediately loaned out to Salamanca when he joined the club in 2007.

"It was about time I returned to Brazilian football," Botelho told the club's official website. "I'm still too young and I want to know Brazilian football as I barely played here."

During his time at the Emirates, Boltelho secured loan stints at Celta, Cartegena, Rayo Vallecano and Levante.
