Barcelona contact "several" Premier League clubs to offer them the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho, according to a report.

Barcelona have reportedly been in contact with "several" Premier League clubs to offer them the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window.

The Brazil international has returned to fitness following a serious knee injury, but he was left out of the Barcelona squad for their 2021-22 La Liga opener against Real Sociedad on Sunday.

The Catalan giants are desperate to reduce their wage bill this month due to their financial issues, and Coutinho appears to be on his way out of the club.

Lazio have been strongly linked with the playmaker, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, a number of Premier League teams have also been offered his services.

Arsenal are thought to be interested in the 29-year-old, who still has two years left to run on the contract that he signed upon his arrival at Camp Nou in January 2018.

Coutinho starred for Liverpool between 2013 and 2018, scoring 54 times and registering 45 assists in 201 appearances for the Merseyside giants before moving to Spain.
