Mikel Arteta's agent denies Fiorentina talks

Mikel Arteta wants to stay at Arsenal and has not spoken to Fiorentina regarding a move away from the Emirates, according to the midfielder's agent.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Fiorentina, but any suggestion that Arteta is unhappy at the club has now been made clear by his agent.

Inaki Ibanez told Radio Blu Toscana: "I have never spoken with Fiorentina. Mikel has one year more on his contract and he has no desire to go away from Arsenal.

"He's fine there and he's also the team's captain. I have not spoken with any club."

The 32-year-old joined Arsenal in 2011 and has made 94 appearances for the club since.
