Arsenal 'willing to sanction three more signings this month'

Arsenal 'willing to sanction three more signings'

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to sanction as many as three new additions before the end of the summer transfer window.

Despite having already spent £76m on Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, the Gunners started the campaign with a 2-0 defeat at newly-promoted Brentford.

With no European football this season and the increased competition for a top-seven finish in the Premier League, Arsenal's hierarchy could have scrapped plans for major signings before the end of August.

However, The Mirror claims that Arsenal are still in the market for a maximum of three players, which includes a goalkeeper and creative midfielder.

Sheffield United stopper Aaron Ramsdale and Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard are known to be on their radar.

A striker is also on the agenda at a time when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are being linked with an exit.

The North Londoners are also in the process of trying to free up space on their wage bill with the departures of Hector Bellerin and Lucas Torreira.
