Arsenal 'step up Alessio Da Cruz pursuit'

Arsenal reportedly step up their interest in FC Twente attacker Alessio Da Cruz, who is currently on loan at Serie B side Novara.

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in FC Twente attacker Alessio Da Cruz.

Last month, it was claimed that the Gunners were one of four Premier League clubs tracking the former Netherlands Under-21 international, who is currently on loan at Serie B club Novara.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Arsenal have been impressed with the 20-year-old's performances in the second tier of Italian football, where he has scored five times in 18 appearances during the 2017-18 campaign.

Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Swansea City have also been credited with an interest in a player that is contracted to Twente until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Da Cruz spent time in the Ajax academy during his youth career.
