Arsenal are reportedly seriously considering a move to sign a Real Madrid attacker in the upcoming transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly 'seriously considering' a potential move for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo this summer.

The Brazilian has amassed 267 competitive appearances since he joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2019, racking up 69 goals and 50 assists for the Spanish giants.

Rodrygo has enjoyed significant success during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, helping the club win 13 trophies, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.

However, there has been a suggestion that Rodrygo has grown unhappy after seeing his importance decrease at Real Madrid due to the star power of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.

As a result, Rodrygo's future has become the subject of much speculation in recent weeks despite the fact that he still has three years left to run on his contract.

Premier League champions Liverpool are said to be among his suitors, while Chelsea have also been linked with a possible move.

Arsenal are another club that are understood to be in the mix, with journalist Florian Plettenburg reporting that the Gunners are 'seriously considering' a summer swoop for Rodrygo.

The North London club are considering the Brazil international as a transfer target after holding internal talks about a potential move.

Arsenal are now 'exploring all options' to establish whether it will be a realistic prospect to sign Rodrygo this summer.

Why are Arsenal considering a move for Rodrygo?

Mikel Arteta already has Bukayo Saka as his first-choice option on the right wing, but there is uncertainty about who will play on the left flank next season.

The Gunners are guaranteed to lose one winger this summer, with Raheem Sterling set to return to Chelsea following his loan spell.

There is also a possibility that Leandro Trossard could depart with the attacker set to enter the final 12 months of his Arsenal deal.

With departures in the offing, Arsenal are looking to recruit a high-quality option to rival Gabriel Martinelli for a starting spot on the left flank.

Rodrygo has tended to play as a right winger at Real Madrid, but he would be comfortable playing off the left flank.

The 24-year-old would also bring significant experience of winning silverware and playing at the highest level for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
