Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.
Manager Unai Emery strengthened in the middle of the pitch during the summer, with Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi both arriving at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal at the end of the current campaign and Mohamed Elneny is being linked with an exit from the North London outfit, which leaves the club in the market for replacements.
According to Bild, that has left Arsenal contemplating an approach for Weigl, with the 23-year-old having only been used sparingly since August.
The German has featured for just 260 minutes in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, and it has allegedly resulted in Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat placing the player on his shortlist.
Weigl still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
