Arsenal have reportedly opened contract negotiations with Dutch international Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The 29-year-old is entering the final six months of his contract with Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04, and is therefore free to talk to other clubs over a summer transfer.
According to The Times, Huntelaar is demanding a £100-per-week deal, while North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be interested.
Huntelaar has scored five goals in 17 league appearances this season.
