Arsenal make Yoann Gourcuff approach

Arsenal have made contact with French club Lyon about the possibility of signing Yoann Gourcuff on loan in January, according to Goal.com.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger reportedly failed with a bid to take the French international to the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window.

However, the boss is said to be ready to renew his interest in the 25-year-old.

Lyon bought Gourcuff for £19m from Bordeaux last year but his time with the club has been hampered by a succession of injuries.
