Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Wolves

Arsenal will be looking to build on their 4-0 drubbing of Norwich City when they travel to the West Midlands to lock horns with fellow European hopefuls Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The Gunners have temporarily moved up to seventh in the table following their victory against the Canaries, although bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur could leapfrog Arsenal if they manage at least a draw against Sheffield United on Thursday.

Nevertheless, Arsenal are firmly in the running for a European place as the season enters its closing stages, but they are now facing four challenging fixtures against Wolves, Leicester City, Spurs and Liverpool as they endeavour to break into the top six.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Molineux.

Mesut Ozil

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Back Possible return date: July 4 (vs. Wolves)

Mesut Ozil, who is yet to take to the pitch since the Premier League resumed, missed out the win over Norwich with a slight back issue. The playmaker's injury is not thought to be too serious, although whether he makes the starting lineup if declared fit is another question entirely.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Martinelli hit the ground running following his arrival in North London last summer, but the teenager has had to undergo surgery on his knee following a training injury and will not play again until next season.

Bernd Leno

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Bernd Leno is not expected to play a part before the season is over following a ligament sprain in his knee against Brighton & Hove Albion, but long-term servant Emiliano Martinez has impressed while deputising in Leno's absence.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Pablo Mari lasted just 24 minutes of Project Restart after suffering an ankle injury against Manchester City, and the Gunners will be without the Spaniard for the rest of the campaign.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers has not featured for Arsenal since rupturing his ACL in the home defeat to Chelsea, and the Englishman will not be back in action until next season.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no suspension concerns for the trip to Molineux.
