Arsenal Ladies secure a record 14th Women's FA Cup trophy after seeing off Chelsea Ladies 1-0 in Saturday's final at Wembley Stadium.

Arsenal Ladies have won the Women's FA Cup for a record 14th time after seeing off Chelsea Ladies 1-0 in Saturday's final at Wembley Stadium.

Dan Carter, who clipped a first-minute chance onto the roof of the net, gave the Gunners the lead after 18 minutes with a fine solo run and curled finish.

Asisat Oshoala also came close on a number of occasions, but spurned three good chances to double the North London side's lead.

Fran Kirby wasted Chelsea's best chance after running through on goal in the first half but firing a shot that Arsenal goalkeeper Sari Van Veenendaal was able to save at the near post.

Ji So-Yun also went close after the break, shooting wide following the Blues' first corner after 70 minutes, but the Gunners were able to see the game out and clinch the trophy in front of a record crowd of more than 32,000 people.
