Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his side are capable of pipping Manchester City to second place in the Premier League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his team could catch Manchester City and finish second by the end of the Premier League season.

The Gunners, who have been fighting to secure Champions League qualification throughout the campaign, are just one point behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur following their 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, and nine points adrift of City.

"I'm not sure it will only be a fight with Tottenham," ESPN quotes Wenger as saying. "I'm not sure the other places are not reachable. Chelsea are just ahead and even Man City is not out of reach. It could be a tight fight until the end."

Prior to their victory over Villa, the North London outfit were dumped out of the FA Cup and were hit with a 3-1 deficit in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
