Arsene Wenger: 'Serge Gnabry has justified my faith'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Serge Gnabry has repaid the faith shown in him by the club thanks to his recent performances.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Serge Gnabry has repaid the faith shown in him with his recent performances for the club.

The 18-year-old German winger has been thrust into the first team for the Gunners' last three matches following injuries to Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Gnabry netted his first goal for Arsenal on Saturday during their 2-1 win at Swansea City in the Premier League.

"I feel he has justified my faith," Wenger told the club's official website. "This boy has potential, he has personality on the pitch and purpose, and he has shown that again so overall I feel it's very positive."

Gnabry is expected to feature for Arsenal on Tuesday when they entertain Napoli in the Champions League.
