Theo Walcott reveals Arsenal's respect for the manager of Saturday's opponents Bolton.

Theo Walcott has revealed that the Arsenal players admire the management style of Bolton Wanderers' Owen Coyle.

The Gunners will host Coyle's side on Saturday as the Trotters search for points to raise them out of the relegation zone. The club are currently 19th in the table after failing to take any points since the season's opening match, a win against Queens Park Rangers.

“They haven’t had the greatest of starts but they’ll be tough opposition, as they always are, so we look forward to it,” Walcott told Arsenal's Official Matchday Programme.

“Owen Coyle has done a great job there - look at Jack Wilshere as an example. Obviously [Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger] has made him the player he is but a bit of that came from Coyle as well - he had enough belief to put Jack in the team during his loan there and Jack came back a new player.

“They play football the right way and Coyle looks to give young players an opportunity. He seems like a really good manager to get along with and we respect him.”

The London club, who on Tuesday beat Shrewsbury 3-0 to progress in the Carling Cup, are currently in 17th place in the table.
