Wojciech Szczesny thinks that Arsenal proved they are a class above Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday's North London derby.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Sczcesny has declared that he thinks the Gunners are a class above Tottenham Hotspur and proved that with victory in Saturday's derby.

Szczesny returned from two months on the sidelines to start against Spurs and believes that the second consecutive 5-2 win over their local rivals can ba a catalyst for a surge up the Premier League table.

He told the club's official website: "First of all I'm delighted to be back in the team and I thought we were brilliant from start to finish.

"Over the 90 minutes we controlled the game very well. I thought we showed everyone there's definitely a difference in class between the two teams.

"This win [over Spurs] can do exactly what it did for us last year. We pushed on then and although it's come earlier in the season, hopefully we can kick on again this time."

Szczesny was reduced to the role of bystander for much of the second half as Arsenal ran riot following Emmanuel Adebayor's red-card challenge on Santi Cazorla.
