Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez: 'Alexandre Lacazette and I work well together'

Sanchez enjoys working with Lacazette

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has insisted that he and striker Alexandre Lacazette "work well together".

The duo have not linked up much this season so far due to the Chile international's fitness issues, but the pair started Sunday's Premier League clash against Everton.

Both Sanchez and Lacazette got on the scoresheet as the Gunners earned a 5-2 victory at Goodison Park.

So far, the former Lyon forward, who joined Arsenal for a club-record £52m in the summer, has found the back of the net five times in nine Premier League outings.

"When he has a goalscoring chance, he is a good finisher," Sanchez told Arsenal's official website. "He's a classic striker. He was a successful player in France, and the two of us work well together. He's an excellent player.

"I believe we have [a good understanding]. We haven't played that many games together but when we have, I like how he plays. He finds space and understands the game well. He is very talented."

Arsene Wenger's side currently sit fifth in the table, nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
