Aaron Ramsey: 'Manchester City defeat has not shaken us'

Aaron Ramsey refutes suggestions that Arsenal's 6-3 defeat to Man City last week has affected team morale ahead of the visit of Chelsea on Monday.

Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey has refuted the notion that last weekend's 6-3 defeat to Manchester City has affected the team's morale ahead of Monday's visit of Chelsea.

The Gunners host Jose Mourinho's men at the Emirates Stadium knowing that a loss could potentially see the North London outfit slip from the summit of the Premier League table to fourth place.

Although the Wales international admits that it was disappointing to have lost by such a heavy margin at Eastlands last week, the 22-year-old claims that the team are unperturbed by the setback.

"I don't think it has shaken us," Ramsey told the Daily Mail. "To concede that many goals was disappointing for the team, especially when we've defended so well this season.

"We've dropped a few points in the past couple of games and we are still top, and that just shows what a good start we've had. Hopefully we'll learn from this little blip and put it right as soon as possible."

Monday's encounter is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.
