Aaron Ramsey challenges Arsenal to launch title bid

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey urges the Gunners to kick on from successive FA Cup wins to mount a title challenge in the 2015-16 season.

Aaron Ramsey is confident that Arsenal boast enough quality to mount a serious Premier League title challenge next season.

Arsene Wenger's side finished a disappointing 12 points behind champions Chelsea after a stuttering run of form in the first half of the campaign appeared to undermine them.

The Gunners won a second successive FA Cup title last week and Ramsey feels that it is time for the North Londoners to look at bigger and better prizes next time around.

"Even with this group of players now, I believe if everyone was fit in the season we would have a great opportunity of competing for the Premier League," he told Sky Sports News.

"This team has come on a lot over the last few years and if we can get off to a good start next season we will challenge. The club is in a good place where they can afford not to let players go, we're building on this team rather than seeing players leaving.

"It is a nice feeling and means that the group can stick together. The understanding is there already, so it can only get stronger."

Ramsey has been linked with a £50m move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
