Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain now looks more dangerous in attacking positions as there is more responsibility on his shoulders.

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is becoming "more and more a Liverpool player", as the England international prepares for his Arsenal return.

Following a slow start to life at Anfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain has caught the eye in an advanced position of late and was named Man of the Match in the Reds' 4-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend.

The 24-year-old makes his first trip back to the Emirates Stadium on Friday night since swapping the two clubs in a £35m deal four months ago, and Klopp is happy with the development made by the versatile midfielder after stepping out of the shadow of big-name players at Arsenal.

"He did well from the first day. If you are a big signing everyone expects immediately," he told reporters. "It's all so different, but he has become more and more a Liverpool player. He's really fit, as you could see at Bournemouth.

"The biggest improvement in him is being involved in goalscoring situations. He has it in him, but maybe he wasn't been asked to do that so much before. There, the two decisive players were [Alexis] Sanchez and [Mesut] Ozil."

Oxlade-Chamberlain recorded his second Premier League assist of the campaign against Bournemouth, adding to his one goal in the competition in Liverpool colours.
