Jack Wilshere confident of Premier League title success

Jack Wilshere talks up the "great team spirit" in the Arsenal dressing room, claiming that his side are well positioned to end their 11-year wait for league success.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted that this season provides his side with their best chance of winning the Premier League title since last succeeding in 2004.

The Gunners have won six of their last seven games, culminating in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Everton, to climb to the top of the table.

Having seen his side often start slow and end strongly in recent years, injured midfielder Wilshere says that the confidence is clear to see in the dressing room as Arsenal look to continue building momentum.

"In past seasons we've struggled at the start of the season and then woken up in January when we've realised we need to get into the top four and finish in the Champions League," he told Sky Sports News.

"But this year I think we've continued with where we finished last season. We've got players in there that want to win now, fighting for each other.

"It's a great team spirit and if we can continue this then who knows? We've got to take each game as it comes but we're feeling good at the moment so everyone is confident."

Arsenal face Swansea City and local rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their next two league outings.
